To all the men out there, you're good, too.
If, however, you still want to lose a couple pounds, keep reading. I'll share my secret to being thin with you, and it's a simple, safe and FREE method.
I hope this tip can empower you. Not only to save money, but to feel healthier and more confident.
What's the tip?
It's water.
Really. That's it. Now, I know I'm not a dietician, and it won't work for a lot of people, but it works for me.
The key is to drink only water. Of course, I have mornings when I need a cup of coffee, or nights when I need a beer or glass of wine, but during the day, it's water all the way. No juice. No soda. No milkshakes. No smoothies. No energy drinks. No protein shakes. No....you get the idea.
Not only does your body need the water, but it has no calories, and it's free.
Triple win!
When I first started drinking only water, it felt like I was depriving myself. I added wedges of lemon to feel fancy. After a few months though, the juice and soda started to taste sickly sweet. Now, it seems like the only drink that will quench a thirst is water. When I try to drink soda and juice, I just get thirstier as I drink it.
A lot of people, including the smartest people I know, complain that the recommended 8 cups of water a day is too much. I say it's too low. I know I drink beyond that, and close to a gallon some days. I'm sure most people would if it's all you drank.
I never feel deprived, because I can drink all I want. A small soda won't quench your thirst, and you have to cut yourself off. No need to limit water consumption. (Unless you're one of those crazy people that will drink well beyond not being thirsty. You can overdose on water. Or just about anything for that matter.)
Think about what's in your fridge right now. How much do you spend on soda, juice, and other drinks? Now cut that price completely, and think about how much you'll save each month.
Although, you might have to invest in new clothes from all the weight you'll lose. ;)
Editor's note: For the record, this is only talking about beverage consumption. Keep eating food. Hopefully, this was an unnecessary addition.
